Sweat Less With A Dehumidifier
When summer finally rolls round again our attention quickly shifts from standing next to the fire to keeping the heat down. However it is not just the temperature you need to be aware of. Humidity also plays a large role in the feeling of being too hot. With high humidity environments it is harder to lose heat through your body which can give you heat stroke. The solution is as simple as purchasing a dehumidifier.
With a dehumidifier you will be able to remove any excess moisture trapped in the air thus resulting in more comfortable living conditions. Humidity builds up most noticeably indoors where a dehumidifier can be invaluable. A dehumidifier works by extracting water out of the air and storing it within a receptacle inside the machine.
Other options for excessive heat that but not humidity is to make use of some kind of fan. A pedestal fan is placed on the ground and has an adjustable stand. Anywhere you can access a plug socket you will be able to place your pedestal fan. You may not be aware of what a pedestal fan, so just think of a normal desk fan with an extended floor stand.
Just like a desk fan you will be able to adjust the settings of a pedestal fan to suit your needs. A three speed fan is most common but you will also find this type of fan available with four and five speeds. Of course the higher the speed of the fan the greater cooling effect you will receive. If you want a better distribution of cooling then the fan can be set to oscillate.
Last but not least a drum fan can provide industrial strength cooling. These fans come in a range of sizes some of which are comparable with a ceiling fan. Drum fans will most times need to be situated on the ground for stability and are most commonly used for larger spaces. This could be in a large shed or warehouse where a large fan is required.
