Many believe that to be able to learn magick you need something special: some particular gift, to be psychic, coming from a line of witches, to be chosen by some god or spirit, or something like that.

This is not true. The truth is that magick can be learned and applied by any person. However, to see good results with it you need to be very dedicated. willingness to learn is not enough: you have to make magick a pillar of your existance. If you’re just a dabbler or consider the occult as a side hobby, you’ll waste your time and accomplish nothing remarkable. If you think ”I don’t really believe that magick is real”, but you are testing it just in case, it won’t work. Dedicate yourself to it, and realize that the process of achieving true mastery is a lengthy process that will accompany you for the rest of your life.

You also need to know yourself and understand what your true goals are: why are you determined to learn magick, and what do you wish to obtain with it? Having clear goals in mind will make the process of achieving them with the aid of magick much easier. Do you think magick could help you to get knowledge? Money?Luck? Sex? There’s nothing inherently wrong in wanting these things, so go for it. Maybe you want to be able to help your loved ones, or maybe you want to achieve spiritual enlightenment. Again, perfectly fine. Just realize what is that you want, and admit to yourself that what you seek in magick is the power to obtain it.

Lastly, you must really believe in magick, and not be scared of it. Mainstream society and religion have told you that magick is either a goolish superstition, or that it ,comes from the devil and it’s practice will condemn you to an eternity in hellfire. didn’t get rid of them, your magick won’t work, or worse it will backfire. Realize that these preconceptions are born either of ignorance, fear or stupidity, and that by letting them go you’ll have the chance to be the master of your own life, and dump them.
