Facebook has taken the world by storm. You are able to effortlessly reunite with old classmates, share pictures of your family or network. However there is another reason to join on Facebook: freebies!

From food to office supplies, organizations are using the social networking site to promote their products. That means you can get a load of free stuff quite regularly.
The whole fad of using Facebook to offer freebies possibly may have started when Burger King launched their offer of a free Whopper to everyone who deleted 10 Facebook friends. Burger King reported 233,906 friends were bartered for a burger. Since then, other businesses caught on and now it would appear that every Tom, Dick and Harry company has their own Facebook company page.

Quite frankly, if you don’t find one freebie per day from Facebook, that would be surprising. And I would know. I run FreeStuff4Free.com, a site that is devoted to bringing readers the best and most up to date freebies on a daily basis. The use of Facebook has become almost epidemic in proportions and the Facebook owners are loving it. More and more people are joining daily and their targeted advertising platform is making millions a day.

Most freebies on Facebook can easily be accessed by simply “friending” or “liking” the Facebook page of a product. For example, simply by clicking the “like” button on the Kraft Foods Facebook page, you can get a free sample pack of food.
There are so many people who will keep questioning the logic of businesses giving away freebies, but the reasons are quite simple. By trialing a product, consumers are then able to make good conscious, educated purchasing decisions.

Of course, some companies will also want your information to use for marketing their products. That’s why it is always recommended that you create a separate email account to your usual account. I would recommend using Gmail as Google has anti-spam software on their accounts which is very good. From there you can go bananas and sign up to all the freebies on Facebook and other sites online.

So how can you find the free deals? Aside from Facebook, the quickest way is to type in the key word “freebies” into your search engine. You will then come up with a bountiful number of results. Using Google I think provides the most accurate set of results and with their new algorithm which has just taken place, it appears that blogs and sites that are update regularly get preference and the lastest freebies will often appear on the first page.

Another strategy is to use Google alerts and put in search words that you’re interested in. This way Google will send an email daily listing the latest freebies that have posted to the Internet. Talk about the work being done for you!
